Children's Activity Leader

Manos de Cristo empowers low-income individuals by providing essential oral care, furthering educational development, and meeting basic needs with food and clothing. They are looking for volunteers to be children's activity leaders during parent ESL classes. Children's activity leaders will work in pairs, engaging up to six children in activities such as reading, drawing, games, or imaginative play. They are looking for volunteers who can commit to two hours per week (9:30-11:30 am or 7-9 pm, Mon. - Thurs.) for at least four months. Volunteers must complete a background check. Bilingual volunteers with childcare experience are preferred but not required.

Food Pick-Up & Delivery

Manos de Cristo empowers low-income individuals by providing essential oral care, furthering educational development, and meeting basic needs with food and clothing. They are looking for volunteers to pick up biweekly food orders from the Capital Area Food Bank and deliver them to Manos de Cristo's Food Pantry. Food orders can contain up to 700 pounds of food, so your vehicle must be able to support that amount of weight. Most trucks and large SUVs are sufficient. Volunteers are requested from 12 - 2pm every other Wednesday.
